The bathroom with a bath or shower in Gavel Cottage was absolutely amazing! It felt so luxurious and relaxing. I could spend hours soaking in the tub and forgetting about all my worries. As a guest who loves to pamper myself, this was pure bliss!
Personally, I didn't enjoy the bathroom with just a shower. But hey, that's just my preference!

The layout downstairs was perfect for easy living on holiday. It was super clean and didn't smell like cleaning products. The beds had lovely white cotton linen and the towels were in great condition. The kitchen utensils were well-stocked and the bathroom was spacious. There were plenty of extra cleaning products available and the fridge freezer was large. The location was lovely, private but still an easy walk to Bowness on a pretty lane. We would definitely go back as it was easy to drive to all the locations we wanted to visit. The welcoming feel and warmth when we entered was mind-blowing! The cottage was nicely decorated for Christmas and extremely well-organized. It was absolutely jaw-droppingly clean and the facilities were fantastic. The fire made it so cozy and homely. We were greeted with flowers and biscuits on the table, such a lovely gift. The location was great, just a walk into town and from there we could take the ferry or a Lake Cruise for day trips. It was peaceful and quiet, a welcome break from the city. We're already planning our return and would definitely choose to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Gavel Cottage. The location was perfect, just a short walk to Bowness town center. The cottage itself was well presented and had fantastic facilities. It was clean, comfortable, and the fire made it feel really cozy. We especially loved the private garden with the summerhouse, it was the ideal spot to relax with a drink in hand. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use, making meal preparation a breeze. We appreciated the little touches like the flowers and biscuits on the table when we arrived, it made us feel very welcomed. our stay was peaceful and enjoyable, and we're already thinking about returning in the future. We would definitely recommend Gavel Cottage for a great holiday experience.
The upstairs area was a bit small, which might be a tight fit for more than two people. The shower could use a new head, and the sitting room could benefit from some updates to the sofas and rugs.

The room at Gavel Cottage was so cozy and inviting, it felt like a warm hug after a long day of exploring. The bed was super comfy, perfect for snuggling up and getting a good night's sleep. The bathroom with a bath or shower was a bonus, giving me options for a relaxing soak or a quick rinse.
I personally wasn't a fan of the one bathroom with just a shower. But hey, that's just me!
